This week’s what’s on guide covers the period 29th September to 6th October and all events with a nature and outdoor theme that are suitable for children/families and that are within a day’s trip distance from Glasgow have been included. October just around the corner and with it autumn and all things leafy, conkers and fungi. Just another two weeks to go until October week and lot of activities, these next two weeks are quieter but still there s good stuf fon offer.
At Tollcross Park and Springburn Park this Saturday and Sunday (1st and 2nd October, from 10am – 3pm) You can find out all about the world of fungi and their uses, how to dry and store them, how to cook wild ones and how to spot which ones to avoid. Call 0141 2760931 to book. This event is free.
Culzean Castle also have a fungus theme going and you can join the TFungus is Fascinating workshop on Sunday 2nd October from 2-4pm. The event is free with entry to the Castle.
As every Friday, there will be a crafts activity for children in Kelvingrove Park at An Clachan Cafe (next to the swing park) with Eilidh and the Christiana Box Bike. This week it’ll be all about finger puppets! Join in the fun – drop in in the afternoon and suggested donation for materials is £4 per child.
