Something for this weekend: Top days out

Oh we’re running late telling you about this weekend’s goodness, so it’ll be short but sweet:

Culzean Castle has a Smugglers Day on Sunday 21st, meet in front of castle on the hour for presentations, from noon. Price included in entry (you really want to be an NTS member if visiting Culzean Castle because NTS members go free). Cost Adult – £14.00, Family – £34.00, 1 parent – £16.50, Concession – £10.00. Parking – £2.00

And Finlaystone Country Estate hosts children’s Highland Games! Also on Sunday 21st, 1-4pm. Cost: adults £4, children and concessions £3.

For something more low key (and cheaper) – there are a couple of allotment open days on.

New Victoria Gardens will be hosting their annual open day Saturday 20th August from 1pm. The gardens are on of the oldest of the Glasgow allotment sites and you can find them on Glenapp Street, a cul-de-sac off Albert Drive. The gardens are probably the most beautiful of Glasgow’s allotments, a magic oasis in the middle of buzzing Pollokshields. Cost: £1
