Looking for some fun activities outdoors? Well, thanks to the summer holidays there’s quite a lot you can pick from this week.
In Bishopbriggs you can explore Canal Creatures. Meet at the Leisuredome on Sunday 7th August at 2pm.
If you would like to try your hand on gardening, why not head over to the Children’s Garden in Glasgow’s Botanics? It’s aimed at children under 5, though older ones will enjoy it too. Tuesday 9th August, 12.30pm.
Glasgow’s Victoria Park hosts Child’s Play – Simple Pleasures, a workshop for children and parents to remember or learn outdoor games. When? Wednesday 10th August from 1-3.30pm. Cost: free, but booking essential. 0141 276 0927.
Calderglen Park just outside East Kilbride goes all batty on Wednesday 10th August. Meet the Countryside Rangers in the Courtyard at 2pm for a 2 hour long activity all about bats. For families and children of all ages, free.
