Don’t know what to do this weekend yet? How about this event:
At Kelburn Castle in Largs, you can find out all about biodiversity and conservation all weekend. Learn about the conservation of species in Ayrshire (including the Bat Conservation Trust) , and get involved in the Beach Art activity with professional beach litter artist, Jane Rose. Kelburn Castle and Estate offers great nature walks, as well as an adventure playground. It makes for a great day out, and of course you can combine the visit with a walk along the Largs beach. There is plenty of wildlife to discover, all in a stunning setting. Picnic area but cafe available too (and a colourful castle, painted by Mexican graffiti artists).
Cost: £7.50 for adults, £5.00 for children 3 and over. Concessions and family tickets available.
Public transport: nearest train station is Largs (2 miles) and bus route to Ayr passes the entrance.
