Raindrops Giveaway: All-in-One Rainsuit and Wellies for Children

rainsuitI’m delighted to be able to offer the readers of Nature Kids (Glasgow) an exciting product giveaway in the very first week of the site! One lucky winner will receive the high quality All-in-One Rainsuit and a set of wellies from Raindrops, a company that specialises in Scandinavian Outdoor Clothing for children.

Why Scandinavian you may wonder? Well, Raindrops know that children love to play outdoors whatever the weather and therefore they provide practical and hard-wearing clothing to protect against the elements. They work with companies who share their values in having clothing produced in an environmentally sensitive way; using Oko-Tex standard natural materials. They do not stock products made from PVC and all products are phthalates free. Scandinavia also has a long history of forest schools and kindergartens (and extreme weather conditions) so that they are one step ahead in functional outdoor wear.

I first came across Raindrops at the Scottish Baby and Toddler Show. Having had to look far and wide for good quality waterproof outdoor clothing for my children, I was very pleased to see them exhibit. I took the details for future reference, having seen and felt the outdoor clothing they have in stock, because good quality waterproofs are still a rare seed in the UK.

I’m therefore extremely pleased to be able to test the All-in-One Rainsuit. Even a first look and feel makes the difference between your normal waterproofs and these hardwearing, high quality items clear. There’s no flimsiness, the material feels good and is super waterproof. They are also easier to put on than the waterproofs I’ve been using so far. And while there’s a hint of pink, it is just that – for once I’m not cladding my girl into an atrocity of pink! The gear is functional and there’s real beauty in that. The child can move and enjoy the outdoors, while the child is also kept comfy and dry. Thumbs up!

And to celebrate in style, Raindrops and Nature Kids have teamed up to give away an All-in-One Rainsuit in pink or blue, together with a pair of checked wellies in either red or blue! All you need to do to enter is have a look at the Raindrops website and leave a comment sharing which product you particularly liked. If you subscribe to Nature Kids this upcoming week, you’ll get an extra entry. Tweeting this giveaway post will also give you an additional entry. Please add @cartside to your tweet so I can keep track.

I will pick a lucky winner through a random number generator on Sunday 31st July.

What a great company and fantastic products. Much needed here this Belgian summer too, it’s been raining allllllll week! My favourite product would be the black and white kids rainjackets (the spotty and stripey ones, and also the stripey wellies). I am so sick of the pink for girls thing, and if I can, I try to buy unisex so my big girl can wear it first, and my baby boy can grow in to it.
    Thanks for sharing! x

I’ve subscribed. It’s gonna make me wish I lived in Glasgow so I could hang outside with you all 🙂 I’m sure I will get lots of inspiration. I had a huge outdoorsy childhood in Australia, I hope the same for my own kids.
    X Rhi

Ohhhh I am glad I saw this on Britmums. My son has issues with going out in the snow due to not being able to walk and stay on his feet… and he hates being cold! DIVA!… He has Down syndrome and we struggle to get him to do anything in the snow as his muscle tone is weaker and now he is too big for his pushchair and we end up home bound… bad times… So The Snow Boots on the website look quite tempting for this coming winter… If it means I can get him to school all be it!
My God Daughter loves to play in the rain, much to her mummies annoyance, and one of these all in one’s and wellies would be fab for her! (she has a habit of falling over in big piles of mud!)

I have followed on here, twitter and FB and Tweeted too… (ps Great Blog btw)

I just LOVE the snowsuits! My little one was lucky enough to be given a Scandinavian snowsuit as a newborn (my brother lives in Finland) and the quality is just superb! I will definitely be trying to get hold of another one if our winter is like last years! The baby booties are also too cute!!
