Pine Cone Bird Feeder

Today’s craft activity is easy and suitable for all year around.

Go into the woods and find a pine cone. If it’s closed up, put it indoors in a warm place until it’s opened up.

You will also need: some lard at room temperature, bird food.

First, attach a string or some wire to the pine cone, long enough to hang it on your chosen tree.

Spread the lard into the gaps of the pine cone. Then, roll it in the birdfood.

Hang it onto a tree. Children will love to muck about with the lard and bird food.
